Manifesto

Welcome reader.  This is the announcement of my first blog.  I'm reluctant to play the whole "I suppose I should get with the times and get a blog" thing because I don't think any one has a blog.  I mean, I am aware there are a few million blogs floating around but I have exactly 99 friends on Facebook and only 1 of those people has a blog.

My feeling is that any reason is good enough to start a blog, and I have several: I like to write stuff, and I like to read that which I have written because often it surprises me; I think having the skills to design a website are becoming a good thing to have on ones C.V. and this is a good in-road to having my own website; since leaving university my brain has started to turn to mush (know this for sure because I woke up with a lot of it dribbling out of my ear this morning); psychology gets a bad press and I aim to single-handedly make it cool; and finally I have a lot of free time in the evenings until the next Call of Duty comes out.

So on this blog I shall aim to present the most fascinating psychology stuff I can collect from around the world as well as some cool technology stuff (because I am a card-carrying speccy-geek) as well as some of my own opinions on stuff.

So there is the Manifesto of Samuel Carpenter.  Unlike a political party, I aim to stick to it.  Zing!  I neglected to mention the high-quality political satire which will be making the occasional appearance.
